Call it Grace

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Call it Grace” performed by Unspoken

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Eph. 2: 8-9 (NIV)

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Cor 12: 9-10 (NIV)

“When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
John 8: 10-11 (KJV) (full story John 8: 1-11)

I hope you enjoy today’s song, “Call It Grace,” performed by Unspoken.

We find in John 8 (above) a fantastic example of God’s grace.  I recently listened to a preacher that pointed out the order of what Christ said, notice Christ did not say, go and sin no more and then I will not condemn thee.  Christ said, “Neither do I condemn thee; go and sin no more.” Interesting to think about this.  This is certainly our God’s Grace in action!

“Amazing, unshaking, this is Grace.
Unchanging, unfailing, this is Grace.”

Although we are guilty, just as the woman of sin found in John 8, Christ, God’s son, the spotless Lamb of God, willingly took our rightful place on that sinner’s cross 2000 years ago so that we could be reconciled to our Father.  Who would do this for anyone?

“It’s nothing less than scandalous That Jesus took our Place
Just call it what it is; call it grace.”

Jesus is truly the hope of the orphan, of the lonely; He is the hope of the confused, of the anxious and of the weary.  He is the hope of the brokenhearted, the sick, and He is the hope of the fallen and the sinner.  He is indeed our hope for tomorrow.

“Some may call it foolish and impossible
But for every heart, it rescues, it’s a miracle.”

“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
John 8: 36 (NIV)

“Just call it what it is; call it Grace.”
Hallelujah, let’s give honour, glory, and praise to Christ today.

In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Call it Grace
Lyrics

It’s the light that pierces through you
To the darkest hidden place
It knows your deepest secrets
But it never looks away

It’s the gentle hand that pulls you
From the judgement of the crowd
When you stand before them guilty
And you got no way out

Some may call it foolish and impossible
But for every heart it rescues, it’s a miracle
It’s nothing less than scandalous
This love that took our place
Just call it what it is, call it grace (ooh)
Call it grace (ooh)

It’s the breath that’s breathing new life
Into what we thought was dead
It’s the favor that takes orphans
Placing crowns upon their heads
It’s the hope for our tomorrows
The rock on which we stand
It’s a strong and mighty fortress (mighty fortress)
Even Hell can’t stand against

Amazing, unshaking
This is grace, this is grace
Unchanging, unfailing
This is grace, this is grace

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
