Today’s song is “Praise the Lord,” performed by Micah Tyler. I must admit I enjoy Micah’s fun presentation of Praise the Lord, as with many of his other praise videos.
Micah’s video reminds me that I want to strive to see God’s goodness, provisions, and grace in all of my circumstances. I must admit that I am often guilty of worry, anxiety, and of trying to take the reigns during the storms in my life; I must admit that I often focus on the trials I face and not on God’s provision and protection, even though He has proven Himself to me over, and over, and over again. I can, every time, look back and see how He has showed His mercy, how He has led me through the storms, how He continues to provide, and how He continues to work out everything for good in my life and His Kingdom here on Earth.
As a teenage girl, this verse was shared with me and how I have seen God faithful to His promise,
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8: 28 (NIV)
The second big takeaway from this video, is how we should desire and strive to be the voice, hands, feet, and heart of Jesus in all that we say and do; we need to be Christ’s light in this dark world, we need to change the atmosphere of any room we enter, we need to stand out as sons and daughters that are clearly a little different because the Joy of the Lord is our strength.
God is faithful, His promises are true, so today:
Let’s sing about it, let’s shout about it, and let’s lift our hands and praise no matter what comes our way.
Let’s focus on Jesus, not our problems.
Let’s be the reflection of Jesus so that our families, friends, and acquaintances will know that we have had an encounter with the Living God.
Let’s walk, talk, and go about our daily activities with peace, joy, and love so that it is evident that Christ lives within us.
Let’s give God all of our worship, glory, and praise, for He is indeed worthy of our Praise.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
