Great is Thy Faithfulness

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Great is Thy Faithfulness” performed by Austin Stone Worship

“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)

“So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
Gen 22:14 (NIV)

“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
Malachi 3:6 (NIV)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8 (NIV)

Today as we celebrate Father’s Day, we look to our Heavenly Father as the perfect example of a faithful, merciful, gracious, good, and loving Father.  How our Father God was faithful to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and how our Father God was faithful to the Israelites when He led them out of Egypt, through the desert, and into the promised land. When called upon, our Father God was faithful to Joseph, Sarah, and David and has been faithful to His sons and daughters of every generation since.

Although I am tempted to feature this well-known classic Hymn of Faith by a well know traditional voice (for many incredible artists have performed “Great is Thy Faithfulness” over the past decades), I have decided to direct us to the performance and artist of a new generation.  I hope you will enjoy and be encouraged as you watch and listen to “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” as performed by Austin Stone Worship, recognizing how it first and foremost gives glory to God’s faithfulness but, secondly, in a fresh way, gives hope and encouragement to a new generation.

Today we give honour and praise to God:
for His love, goodness, mercies, grace, and faithfulness.
for His perfect example of a perfect man.
for our Fathers.
for all created after His image.
for He is our Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.

“Morning by morning, new mercies I see
All that I’ve needed Thy Hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me!”

Today, may we stand on God’s promises that are faithful and true.
Today may we join the choirs in heaven, the saints that have gone before us, and sing:

Strength in today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.”

Happy Father’s Day to all of the Fathers in our Lives!

We now have a new generation at the doorstep of a new era!
Our young people have seen first-hand what the enemy offers: chaos, evil, and destruction.  It has seen first-hand what this world offers: personal success, power, and prestige, but they are adding up quickly that any of the above does not help gain personal happiness, contentment, or satisfaction, for we know only Jesus can do this.

I believe God is, again, presenting Himself, His goodness, and His faithfulness fresh and new to today’s generation.  As we watch and hear of revivals throughout the nations, I believe this new generation is about to see firsthand our God’s might, blessings, goodness and faithfulness as never before.  As others find Jesus for the first time, God will reveal Himself as the answer to their problems and the lost and broken world around them.  As we look to the future, we can be certain that since God is the same yesterday, today and forever, He will continue to make Himself known to our children’s children and their children’s children.

In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Great is Thy Faithfulness
Lyrics

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be

Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

I could not love Thee, so blind and unfeeling;
Covenant promises fell not to me.
Then without warning, desire, or deserving,
I found my Treasure, my pleasure, in Thee.

I have no merit to woo or delight Thee,
I have no wisdom or pow’rs to employ;
Yet in thy mercy, how pleasing thou find’st me,
This is Thy pleasure: that Thou art my joy.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
