Psalm 34 (Taste and See)

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Psalm 34 (Taste and See)” performed by Shane and Shane

“I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.  I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.  Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.  I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.  Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.  This poor man called, and the Lord heard Him; He saved him out of all his troubles.  The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.  Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.  Fear the Lord, you His holy people, for those who fear Him lack nothing.  The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
Psalm 34: 1-10 (NIV)

We bless, we praise, we magnify, we exalt, we glorify you, Christ Jesus, today and for all eternity.

Today’s song “Psalm 34 (Taste and See,) is performed by Shane & Shane.  It reflects the words of David when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech to escape from King Achish.  Throughout his life, David faced many times of trouble, fear, rejection, evil advancements, and poor decisions, but at the end of the day, he knew that God was his healer, protector, and friend and that God would deliver him from any trial that he found himself in.  Through the Psalms, David demonstrates how to give honour, glory, and praise to God our Father in all the circumstances of life that we find ourselves in; not only the good times but the uncertain and fearful times.

“Taste and See” Christ today; try Him out, He will not disappoint.  Whatever you face today, if you cry out to Jesus, He will hear, He will answer; He is the answer.  God promises to bless those that hide in Him; He gives life, wholeness, healing, forgiveness, deliverance, protection, peace, assurance, grace, and mercy.

“Taste and See” for once you taste of the goodness of God, you will want to praise, magnify, exalt, and glorify the King of kings and Lord of lords for all that He has done, all that He is doing, and all that He is about to do, for this day and eternity.
May our prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.
Psalm 141:2 (NIV)

In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Psalm 34 (Taste and See)
Lyrics

I sought the Lord
And He answered me
And delivered me
From every fear

Those who look on Him
Are radiant
They’ll never be ashamed
They’ll never be ashamed

This poor man cried
And the Lord heard me
And saved me from
My enemies

The Son of God
Surrounds His saints
He will deliver them
He will deliver them

Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Oh, taste and see
That the Lord is good
Oh, bless us here
Who hides in Him

Oh, fear the Lord
Oh, all you saints
He’ll give you everything
He’ll give you everything

Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night
Neverending praise
May our incense rise

Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together (exalt His name together)
Glorify the Lord with me (oh, Lord, with me)
Come exalt His name forever
Ooh

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
