Make Room

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Make Room” performed by Saddleback

“A man’s gift makes room for Him, and brings Him before great men.”
Proverbs 18:16 (NKJV)

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
2 Cor 1:20 (NIV)

You may remember, at the beginning of the Christmas season, I put out the song “Make Room” by Casting Crowns.  At that time, I wanted to make room for Jesus; to prepare for the special Christmas season.

Today, we are in a season between the celebration and victory of the resurrection of Christ and the upcoming celebration of Pentecost and the revealing of the Holy Spirit two thousand years ago, as well as a season that looks, feels, and appears to be of “end times.”  I believe it is timely to share “Make Room,” performed by Saddleback Music, as it reminds us to make room for Jesus and surrender our will before God so that He can make way for His ultimate glory.

Recently, I have felt the whisper from the Holy Spirit to be patient, rest in Him, be still, make room, and hold tight, trusting in His words and promises because He has everything in the palm of His hand and control of all things.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Romans 8: 28 (NIV)

Daily, I must remind myself to yield to the Holy Spirit and re-focus my eyes, away from the difficulties surrounding me, towards Jesus and His promises.  Daily, I must lay my burdens down and trade my broken, battered dreams for His glory.

Please join me today, as we are invited to come as we are, with our shortcomings, insecurities, worries, and sinfulness, and lay them all at the foot of Jesus.

May we be reminded that Jesus inhabits only where He is welcomed and wanted; He will not force His way or Himself on anyone.  He comes to those who hear His voice and open the door for Him.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Rev 3:20 (NIV)

Today as we navigate these days, we realize we must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to sustain and direct/guide us to find God’s will for our lives.  Today let’s open the door of our Hearts to Jesus (make room) to allow Him to enter and use us for His Kingdom.

Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honour and power and strength be to our God forever and ever.  Amen!”
Rev 7:12 (NIV)

In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Make Room
Lyrics

Here is where I lay it down
Every burden, every crown
This is my surrender
This is my surrender
Here is where I lay it down
Every lie and every doubt
This is my surrender

And I will make room for You
To do whatever You want to
To do whatever You want to
I will make room for You
To do whatever You want to
To do whatever You want to

Have Your way, have Your way Jesus
Have Your way with us
Have Your way with us, ooh

We surrender
We surrender
Jesus
Have Your way Jesus

Shake up the ground of all my tradition
Break down the walls of all my religion
Your way is better
Your way is better

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
