Just Be Held (Find Rest in Jesus… Just be Held Part 1)

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Just Be Held” Casting Crowns

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
Isaiah 41:13 (NIV)

Today’s song is “Just Be Held” by Casting Crowns.   Like many of us today, are you trying to manoeuvre a world that doesn’t make sense, trying to keep it together, trying to stay strong for those around you, yet you feel that you are falling apart?

“Just be Held” reminds us to surrender to Jesus Christ; when we do, we will find freedom and peace that only He can offer.  Although our world may feel like it is falling apart, we can rejoice that He has all control and is working everything out for each of us and His eternal kingdom.  He is on His throne and rules and reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords; He always has and always will be victorious in our circumstances and over all situations.  Praise God; we will find that Jesus can always paint with His hand’s beauty from the ashes of our life.  Today we benefit from His love and mercy; we enjoy the warmth of His presence and protection and can rejoice that we are His precious children.

For a few moments, let us “let go” and quietly rest in Jesus to “Just be Held” by our Father, our Abba God.

Just Be Held

Hold it all together
Everybody needs you strong
But life hits you out of nowhere
And barely leaves you holding on

And when you’re tired of fighting
Chained by your control
There’s freedom in surrender
Lay it down and let it go

So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Just be held, just be held

If your eyes are on the storm
You’ll wonder if I love you still
But if your eyes are on the cross
You’ll know I always have and I always will

And not a tear is wasted
In time, you’ll understand
I’m painting beauty with the ashes
Your life is in My hands

Lift your hands, lift your eyes
In the storm is where you’ll find Me
And where you are, I’ll hold your heart
I’ll hold your heart
Come to Me, find your rest
In the arms of the God who won’t let go

Just be held, just be held
Just be held, just be held

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
