Today, praise God, we are forgiven, and Christ stands before us with arms open wide. Jesus came as our sacrificial Lamb; He was triumphant over the grave and conquered death for man’s redemption. What a glorious message of Easter!
Although today, we share equally in the responsibility of the horror of the cross, Jesus stands before each of us, just as He did with Peter, and all of those at the foot of the cross, with His arms held open wide. In His love, mercy, and grace, He offers forgiveness, redemption, and restitution; His bloodshed replaces our sin, guilt, confusion, anguish, and shame with His confidence, joyfulness, and victory. Hallelujah, although we were dead in our sins, we are now ALIVE in Christ!

The gates and doors were barred and all the windows fastened down,
I spent the night in sleeplessness and rose at every sound,
Half in hopeless sorrow half in fear the day,
Would find the soldiers crashing through to drag us all away.
Then just before the sunrise I heard something at the wall,
The gate began to rattle and a voice began to call,
