Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace -Part One)

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Broken Vessels” by Hillsong Worship

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.”
2 Corinthians 4:7 (ESV)

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (ESV)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

Today’s song, “Broken Vessels” (Amazing Grace) by Hillsong Worship, speaks of the healing that our Lord Jesus Christ offers in replacement for the broken, scattered pieces of our lives.  If we are willing to call out to our Lord Jesus Christ, He will hear our cries, and He will offer forgiveness and freedom from the bondages that we find ourselves in.  Today, we may feel alone, forgotten, flawed, or broken in our relationships, finances, or addictions.  We may have tried to repair these “broken vessels” by ourselves or the world’s methods, but our answer is in Jesus Christ alone.  He offers to raise us in all of our brokenness, heal us from within, and create in us new vessels in Jesus Christ.  If we take up His offer of amazing grace through the healing touch of Jesus, He can then work through us for His eternal Kingdom, not a kingdom of this earth, but an eternal Kingdom with God our Father, far better than we could ever imagine.  This is truly, Amazing Grace!!!

Father God, please heal these “broken vessels” of our lives.  We know that we need You in our lives.  Once You have healed us, we ask that You fill us with Your Spirit, that we can do the work that You have planned for us from the beginning of time.  Praise God; I once was lost but now am found, I’ve been set free, I’ve been set free indeed!

In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Broken Vessels Amazing Grace
Lyrics

All these pieces, broken and scattered
In mercy gathered, mended and whole
Empty-handed but not forsaken
I’ve been set free, I’ve been set free
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me, ooh-oh
I once was lost but now I am found
Was blind but now I see
Oh, I can see You now
Oh, I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying Yourself down
Raising up the broken to life
You take our failure, You take our weakness
You set Your treasure in jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord, I’ll be Your vessel
The world to see, Your life in me
Oh, I can see You now
Oh, I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying Yourself down
Raising up the broken to life
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, I can see You now
Oh, I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying Yourself down
Raising up the broken to life

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship, to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
