Today’s song is “A Mother’s Love ” by Jim Brickman Featuring Mark Masri
“Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard planted by the water, it was fruitful and full of branches because of abundant water. Its branches were strong, fit for a ruler’s scepter. It towered high”
Ez. 13: 4-7
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Proverbs 31: 28-31
Today, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we remember our mothers and the women who have raised us. “A Mother’s Love” by Jim Brickman and featuring Mark Masri beautifully celebrates the special devotion of a mother. Yet importantly, we know the gifts of God are many/countless, so at this same time, we celebrate our grandmothers, aunties, sisters, and special women that God placed in each of our lives.
Today let us thank our Heavenly Father for His blessings of families, our moms, dads, grandma, grandpas, aunties, sisters, or special persons that selflessly served as the hands, voices, ears, eyes, and heart of God the Father Himself. These vessels of God, we accept, were not always perfect, yet we are thankful for their direction, nurturing, protection, correction, guidance, encouragement, love, and prayers. As we reflect on these special people, may we be inspired, encouraged, and convicted as sons and daughters to be ourselves, grounded in the Word of the Lord, to walk by Faith in Christ, and to live in the Holy Spirit; that we may reflect the love of Christ to our families, friends, neighbours, and acquaintances but especially as we are reminded today, to God’s little ones that He has entrusted us with.
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
Matt. 19:14 (NIV)
In Christ,

A Mother’s Love
Lyrics
Thank you for watching over me
All of the sleepless nights you lay awake
Thank you for knowing when to hold me close
When to let me go
Thank you for every stepping stone
And for the path that always leads me home
I thank you for the time you took
To see the heart inside of me
You gave me the roots to start this life
And then you gave me wings to fly
And I learned to dream
Because you believed in me
There’s no power like it on this earth
No treasure equal to its worth
The gift of a mother’s love
Thank you for every sunlit day
That filled the corners of my memory
Thank you for every selfless unsung deed
I know you did for me
Thank you for giving me the choice
To search my soul till I could find my voice
And I thank you for teaching me
To be strong enough to bend
You gave me the roots to start this life
And then you gave me wings to fly
And I learned to dream
Because you believed in me
There’s no power like it on this earth
No treasure equal to its worth
The gift of a mother’s love
I thank God for a mother’s love

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
