Build Your Kingdom Here

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Build Your Kingdom Here” by Rend Collective

“Another parable He put forth to them, saying:  “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.  So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’  He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’  But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.  Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.’ ”
Matt 13: 24-30 (NIV)

“And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.  And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock  I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matt 16: 17-19 (NIV)

Today’s song is Build Your Kingdom Here, performed by Rend Collective.
We read in Matt 16:17-19 that Christ will build His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  What a great truth we can stand upon.  Yes, the tares will grow alongside the wheat, but Christ’s Kingdom will advance, grow stronger and stronger, and the gates of Hell will not prevail.

Today, many believe that we are up against all of the forces of Hell, the tares are too many, and that the enemy is causing havoc throughout the land.  However, we can be sure that no matter how dark things may seem or how the enemy tries to kill, steal, and destroy, Christ is triumphant, rules and reigns, and has everything in His control.

Heaven will be on earth as it is in Heaven.  How this comes to pass may be debatable, but we can be confident that God’s promises will stand true.

As God continues to work the present evils towards His ultimate good, we must do our part to be the salt and light of Christ in our homes, communities, and land.

I have no fear that a great revival is around the corner, that it has already begun, spear-headed by the Holy Spirit.  I am certain that the tares will not overtake us, the gates of Hell will not prevail, and Christ’s great Kingdom will be brought to earth as in Heaven.

Imagine:
A government that is fair and that treats all men, women, and children with mercy and grace as our Father treats each of us.

An Economy overflowing and bountiful, as God intended.  We see examples of when He turned the water to wine, fed 5,000, and supplied an overabundance when His disciples cast their nets for fish.  Our God is a bountiful supplier; He loves to lavish His children.

An Education system where the truths of the word of God were studied, applied, and held up.  God’s commandments, importantly, loving our neighbours, were taught, demonstrated, and applied.

Families where Christ was to be found at the center of relationships.  If our fathers and mothers lived, prayed, and taught as Christ’s example.

Churches, if the word of God was taught in its fullness, not catering to preferences.  If egos, jealousy, and pride did not get in the way of God’s work.

Arts and Entertainment: if arts followed the examples of the creation of our Father, entertainment was pure joy, fun, and pleasure without sexual exploitations, profanity, and Satanic content.

Media, if positive, accurate, and honest. I am declaring the good news of the gospel.

The above all seems impossible, yet we know nothing is impossible in the Hands of God.  We recognize that the fullness of Christ’s Kingdom on earth starts in our hearts through the call of the Holy Spirit.
“Like wildfire in our very souls, Holy Spirit, come invade us now.”
“Awake the kingdom seed in us. Fill us with the strength and love of Christ.”

We will continue to pray for our nation, communities, churches, and families, that we have a great revival, that our churches be set on fire, that we win back our countries to a God, and that the Kingdom of Christ is Here on earth as in Heaven.

Let’s Pray,
“Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for ever. Amen.
Matt 6: 9-13 (KJV)

Build Your Kingdom Here
Lyrics

Build Your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build Your kingdom here
We pray

Come set Your rule and reign
In our hearts again
Increase in us we pray
Unveil why we’re made
Come set our hearts ablaze with hope
Like wildfire in our very souls
Holy Spirit, come invade us now
We are Your Church
And we need Your power
In us

We seek Your kingdom first
We hunger and we thirst
Refuse to waste our lives
For You’re our joy and prize
To see the captive hearts released
The hurt, the sick, the poor at peace
We lay down our lives for Heaven’s cause
We are Your church
And we pray revive
This earth (we’re prayin’ for revival)

Unleash Your kingdom’s power
Reaching the near and far
No force of hell can stop
Your beauty changing hearts
You made us for much more than this
Awake the kingdom seed in us
Fill us with the strength and love of Christ
We are Your church
Oh, and we are the hope
On earth

Build Your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build Your kingdom here
We pray (change the atmosphere, build Your kingdom here)

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
