Today’s song is “Let there be Peace on Earth” performed by The Voices of Hope Children’s Choir
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22: 36-40 (NIV)
This week’s song is “Let there be Peace on Earth,” performed by The Voices of Hope Children’s Choir. How suitable to hear these words from the innocence of our children.
This has been a season that I have found myself concerned and saddened for our precious little ones needing protection from false media campaigns, difficult homes, abuse, and isolation. Our little ones need their Heavenly Father now, more than ever before; they need to hear of a Father above that will love, care for, protect, redeem, rescue, and befriend, each of them in difficult times. They need to hear and be taught of their loving and merciful God, the creator and maker of the heavens and earth. They need to be taught that God can be viewed, touched, and experienced in all of creation’s beauty, majesty, and provision. I want to be reminded often, to pray for these tiny souls growing up in this upside-down world we find ourselves part of.
We know our current state of affairs is not what God had in mind when He created this world. The world God created was perfect and good until the fall of humanity. How our God must have been saddened by the sin of mankind, yet, even though mankind fell, our God still offered Himself through Jesus as the sacrifice for our sinful ways, a means for redemption and a restored relationship for each of us with our Father, Abba God.
“Let there be Peace on Earth,” as we pray for this peace. May this peace begin with each of us as a result of Christ’s Holy Spirit living, breathing, convicting, stirring, and working from within us. Each time we have the opportunity, may we proclaim that Jesus alone answers this song’s cry.

Let there be Peace on Earth
Lyrics
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let There Be Peace on Earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With ev’ry step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment and live
Each moment in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
