Today’s song is “Indescriable” by Laura Story
“For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.”
Colossians 1:16 (NIV)
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? “Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt?’”
Job 38: 4-11 (NIV)
“In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”
Job 12:10 (NIV)
In Job 38-39, the Lord challenges Job, and when doing so, He speaks of His might, glory, and majesty. I included only the first few verses of the first two chapters, but I encourage you to read it entirely; it is an amazing declaration of His works. Our God is Amazing!
This past week, having just celebrated the Canadian Thanksgiving, we have again been reminded of the blessings of God our Father, our Creator, Deliverer, Sustainer, Redeemer and King. Many have enjoyed family celebrations with turkey, dressing, and all the fixings.
Many of you know I spent most of my summer canning fruits and vegetables, and as a result, I could not help but be blown away by the bounty we experienced in this year’s crops. Our God is a good, good Father.
Today’s song choice is “indescribable,” performed by Laura Story. It speaks of the majesty of God our Father. The works of His hands, from the highest heights to the depths of the sea.
During this fall season, we again marvel at the beauty around us; the colours of the season, the cool breezes, and the skies rotating for a new season.
We know that our awesome God placed each star in the sky; He also stores the lightning, powers the sun, and conceals it at night. He alone opens the storehouses of snow. He tends to the birds of the air, creatures of the earth, and life in the waters. Just as God formed the heavens and the earth, our God has His mighty, awesome hand that guards, guides, and protects each of us. He gave His own life for a relationship with us; He gives us life; He redeems us; He heals us; He sustains us; He is now preparing a place for us; He will return for us. We can only stand back and marvel at His power, majesty, mercy, and goodness.
Our God is sovereign, mighty, powerful, gracious, and merciful!!!
Our God is incredible, incomparable, amazing, awesome, and Indescribable!!!
We fall on our knees and praise You, Father God!!!
In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Indescribable
Lyrics
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creations revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
And You know them by name
You are amazing, God
All powerful, untameable
Awestruck, we fall to our knees
As we humbly proclaim
You are amazing, God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go?
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light?
Yet, conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart
And You love me the same
You are amazing, God
You are amazing, God

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
