Amazing Grace

Please add this worship song to your online church sermon, morning devotion, or evening quiet time.
Today’s song is “Amazing Grace” performed by Wintley Phipps

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
Romans 3: 23-24 (NIV)

“And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
1 Peter 5:10 (NIV)

This week’s praise video is “Amazing Grace” performed by the gifted Wintley Phipps.  There are countless arrangements to be viewed; I chose this by Mr. Phipps, as he performs this traditional hymn with power, passion, and praise; I hope it speaks to you as it does to me.

I have featured music from Wintley Phipps on a prior occasion.  He is an accomplished Trinidadian-American singer, songwriter, record producer, and minister.  This song showcases his rich, booming, bass-baritone voice and is of the inspirational gospel music genre.  His preaching is bold and unapologetic; if you have a chance to listen to his preaching, I encourage you to do so; he is undoubtedly a gifted man of God.

New to me, I did not realize Wintley Phipps’s affiliation with Canada.  He was born in 1955 in Trinidad.  At an early age, he moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where he attended Kingsway College in Oshawa, Ontario, a Seventh-day academy. Later, he would receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology at Huntsville, Alabama.  This is just the beginning of his resume and accomplishments.

“When we’ve been there 10,000 years, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’ve first begun.”  What a glorious assurance this is.  May we try to remember and cling to this when faced with trials and obstacles along our journey.

An eternity with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in His Kingdom that has no end.
“When we’ve been there 10,000 years, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’ve first begun.”
Praise be to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!!!

“To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!”
Revelation 5:13 (NIV)

In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Amazing Grace
Lyrics

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
This grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home

When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see

May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
