Today’s song is “Who am I to be Loved” by Light of Christmas
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14 (NIV)
Who am I to be Loved by You
As we enter the Christmas season of 2025, I encourage you to intentionally pause from the hustle and bustle of decorations, parties, shopping, cooking, cleaning, or other seasonal activities. Find a quiet place with God and feel His presence, His peace, His hope, and His love; invite the Holy Spirit for a time of comfort and renewal. Most importantly, in this peaceful moment, offer praise and adoration, reflection, and gratitude to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Let us gaze with wonder into this humble manger. In this dark, cold, and humble setting, may we behold the Christ child, whose single act of love changed all of human history and our lives and futures, too!
Please let the lyrics of “Who am I to be Loved” inspire gratitude for the countless blessings He has showered upon you: for times of health, joy, healing, restoration, and deliverance; for your families, your jobs, your comforts, and His promises of hope and a future.
We are assured,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
When we consider that this baby boy, who held the world within His tiny hands, would grow to walk our paths, struggle as we struggle, face temptation, be mistreated, rejected, betrayed, yet remain perfect in every possible way; holy, righteous, the perfect and unblemished Lamb of God, acceptable for the sacrifice of our sins, we can barely contain ourselves or our wonder. If that were not enough, it is not because we are worthy, holy, or deserving, but because of one thing, His amazing grace. Is it truly beyond our understanding to comprehend the Father’s gift of love found in this lowly manger!
Although our focus this season is on the humble manger, we must never lose sight of the cross, for we cannot look at or understand the manger without also looking forward to the cross, and the reverse holds true as well, we cannot look at or understand the cross without reflecting back on the manger.
May we today, in this moment, place our needs, worries, shame, and petitions at the foot of that blood-stained cross, for Christ can surely handle it all.
Now, from the cross, a place of healing, cleansing, deliverance, and restoration, let’s once again, reflect on the humble manger and gaze upon the infant Christ child, the Son of God. As we are filled with adoration, wonder, and thanksgiving, we will offer our glory, honour, praise, and gratitude for all that He was, is, and will be.
Let’s join the angels as they sing,
“Holy, Holy, Holy.
Is the Lord God Almighty,
Who was, who is, and who is to come.”
Revelation 4:8 (NIV)
In Christ,
Lou-Anne

Who am I to be Loved by You
Lyric Highlights
“Who am I that you came down from heaven’s light?
Born in a manger cold and small.
At night, the stars above were singing of your grace.
While you held the world within your tiny hands.”
“Not because I am worthy,
but because your love is endless.
Not because I am holy,
but because you took my sin away.”
“Who am I that you would bear my cross in pain?
Despised and broken, yet you called my name.
The King of Kings wore crown of thorns that day
to bring me life and wipe my tears away.”
“I bow my heart and whisper thanks to you.
All of my past you have washed away.
Now I live in peace.
your amazing grace.”
May we grow together in the love of Christ to reflect upon the mercies and blessings upon our lives, to feel the presence of God’s living Holy Spirit through worship to sing, pray, laugh, dance, cry, but mostly to praise our Lord and Father as we were indeed created2praise.
